Can I use a deck alone?

Yes. While StoryTricks has been crafted to guide you through your entire creative process, the decks can also be used alone to focus on specific parts of your story. In a few cases, a card may refer to another deck, but it won’t hinder your progress.

How many cards per deck?

Each deck contains between 51 and 52 cards. The first card serves as an introduction and outlines the main sections of the deck.

What are the dimensions of the cards?

The dimensions of the cards are 126 mm x 89 mm, or 5 in x 3.5 in. Closer to tarot cards than playing cards, they allow you to put sticky notes on them.

What do the numbers on each card mean?

The cards are numbered to be followed in order and to reference specific ones when needed. There are no more than 52 cards per deck. We add hundreds to differentiate the cards between each deck. Framing cards are numbered 1xx and 2xx, Genres cards are 3xx, Characters cards are 4xx, Structure cards are 5xx and 6xx, and Empathy cards are 7xx.

Is there a digital version of the decks?

Each StoryTricks deck is also available in PDF or as a Miro template

What are the Miro templates?

The Miro templates are online whiteboards available on Miro. Each template contains the front and back of every card from a deck. The cards are arranged by sections with additional guidance and a video tutorial (TalkTrack). Right after your purchase, you’ll receive a link to the template by email. The boards are in read-only mode. Just duplicate the board to your Miro account to start working.

What are the PDF versions?

The PDF are digital versions of the decks that you can download or browse online after your purchase. Each PDF is in landscape format, with the front and back of the cards displayed side by side.

Where is my order?

Refunds

We offer instant refund for PDFs and Miro templates if you make your claim within a 30-day period after your purchase. For the Decks, they have to be sent back to us before any refund. Please read the Returns FAQ below for more informations, or visit our Refund & Returns page.

To be eligible for a return, yours items must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
